Fresh Chess has a variety of modes:

Fresh Chess: Interesting natural positions selected to be approximately balanced according to Stockfish.

960 Fresh: Same freshness but generated from Chess960 back ranks for more variety.

Crazy Fresh: Slightly weirder piece placement to keep you on your toes.

Crazier Fresh: Even weirder positions to melt your brain.

Material Imbalance: Equal odds, but with different piece distributions.

Mate‑in Fresh: Practice your endgame. Choose 1-3 / 4-5 / 6+ from mate to get positions with a forced mate in that many moves.

Handicap Fresh: Intentional material edge (±2/4/6/8 pawns) to allow practice in defense/offense or for cross‑skill play.
